production and design notes

This site has been created with style sheets and some javascript; there is a bit of gif animation in the poetry section; otherwise it is a conventional web site, relying on good old html, gifs, and jpgs.

The minimum screen resolution to view this site is 800 x 600. All pages can be viewed at this resolution, though some are better viewed at a higher resolution since they require more screen depth. In particular, my document design portfolio, and the poems, “no restrictions”, and “liminal”, are best viewed at screen resolutions of 1024 x 768 or higher.

I have taken the liberty to use high-quality images on this site. For those with modem connections of 56kb or lower, this means that pages will take a bit of time to load. I can only hope that the result proves to be worth the wait.

This site has been designed for IE 6.0, Netscape 7.0, and Firefox 2.0.

The ideal text-zoom setting in Netscape for this site is 100%; in Firefox it is the default setting ("Normal").

Thanks to quirksmode for the javascript code to control the behaviour of pop-ups.
